About the ship

Mig 38 was built in 2005. It is about 12 metres long and it is capable of accomodating 8 guests and a captain. It has a bow and two fed cabins, a living room, kitchen, shower, toilet and two motors Cummins 250 turbo diesel. You can find all fishing and safety equipment on the ship.  Fly bridge is adapted for big game fishing.

What type of the fish do we catch?

Bluefin tuna (Thunnus thynnus)

Favourite target of big game fishing is bluefin tuna. Bluefin tuna is considered as the most attractive and the most powerful fish for big game and is especially appreciated among sport fishermen because of its extraordinary fighting spirit and speed. It can achieve speed up to 70 km/h. Tuna can grow up to 4 m and weigh 650 kg. In Adriatic sea it can be found at all sea depth.

Little tunny (Euthynnus alletteratus)

Little tunny can reach up to 17 kg, and generally it can be seen on the open sea in big shoals.

Blue shark (Prionace glauca)

Lives in deep waters of moderate and tropic climate but it can be found in Adriatic sea also. Although generally lethargic, they can move very quickly. They mostly feed with small fish and squid, although they can also attack larger prey.

Great Amberjack (lat. Seriola dumerili)

Fish which can grow up to 180 cm and weigh up to 80 kg, it lives in the sea depth up to 350 m.

Albacore (Thunnus alalunga)

This tuna does not exceed 50 kg and it often can be seen on the Mediterranean but also in the Adriatic Sea.

Common dentex (Dentex dentex)

Because of it delicious meat this is one of the most famous fish in the Adriatic. It can reach up to 1m and weigh up to 16 kg. Zubatac lives in 1 to 200 m depth but usually resides at 20 m of depth.

The season of big game fishing

The season of big game fishing lasts from February to October or November. Short winter break can be conditioned with holidays, ski season or often seastorm. Usually there is a short winter break due to holidays, ski season and seastorms that are often in that time of the year.

In April the most often You can see little tunny. At the end of May and at the beginning of June begins the season of blue and tresher sharks. At the beggining of August starts bluefin tunas fishing and lasts until January.

Price list

Required equipment for trip is an identity card or passport, sunglasses, sun cream, hat and a jacket.

Advance payment is obligatory and the amount is arranged with the captain.
